January, 2008

Well, I guess that the newest news would be..............................WE'RE BACK!  Yes, after over a year hiatus, and many conflicts, we have decided to organize Boundless Grace again.  We will soon be resuming practices, in early February, and we are now open to bookings.  We will be moving into a much  larger studio, and will hopefully be moved into it by the spring.  It will feature a full recording studio as well.  How excited we are!   Members will soon be announced.  As of right now, we are resuming with Janice Wakeland, Mandi Edgmon (part-time), and myself, and Claudia Kier will be returning as sound tech.  Of course, we will be maintaining our close harmonic sounds with our southern gospel songs.  New songs will be added, as well as some of our more requested older songs .  We will also be adding a couple of new areas to our program.  Look for a 1940's patriotic era of song, and also some great old hymns done acappella!

Well, another new project in the works.........I will soon be releasing my own solo project of country songs.  This is my second solo project, with the first being "Country Prayers".  My second is filled with many of my favorite secular country songs, including a lot of oldies that were originally recorded by Brenda Lee, Patsy Cline, Crystal Gayle, and more.  Be sure to check back for more info on this, and a projected release date.

Be checking back on our calendar, as we start scheduling our bookings for this year.  Hopefully, we will soon be in an area near you!  And, also, if you would like to have us at your church or venue, please do not hesitate to contact us!

Until next time.............

SUMMER 2006 NEWS

MY GOODNESS!  IS IT AUGUST ALREADY?  I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW THE YEAR HAS GONE BY!  WE HAVE BEEN BUSY..EITHER SINGING OR KEEPING COOL.  IT HAS BEEN AN EXCEPTIONALLY HOT SUMMER, AND WE DID TAKE A COUPLE OF MONTHS OFF.  WE ARE OLD WOMEN, AFTER ALL, AND WAY TOO SOFT!  TRUTHFULLY, THOUGH, WE HAVE HAD SEVERAL MEDICAL PROBLEMS THAT HAVE AFFECTED THE GROUP, SO THE TWO MONTHS WERE A GREAT BLESSING.  WE STARTED BACK ON OUR SCHEDULES THE LAST OF JULY, AND NOW WE ARE ALREADY BOOKING INTO JULY OF NEXT YEAR!

PLEASE SEND CLAUDIA OUR SOUND ENGINEER) ALL OF YOUR PRAYERS......SHE HAD MAJOR BACK SURGERY JUST A FEW WEEKS AGO, AND THEN THIS WEEK, SHE HAD TO GO BACK IN AND HAVE GALL BLADDER SURGERY!  SHE SAID SHE IS GLAD TO GET ALL OF THIS OUT OF THE WAY, SO SHE WILL BE FEELING GOOD FOR THE TRIP TO LOUISVILLE!  WOW!  TONI HAS HAD TO HAVE SOME MRI'S AND SUCH.  SHE HAS BEEN HAVING TERRIBLE MIGRAINE HEADACHES.  AND I HAD EYE SURGERY IN JUNE, THEN LAST WEEK I HAD MRI'S ON MY BACK, AND I WILL GO ON CONSULTATION WITH NEUROSURGEON THIS MONTH.  I HAVE PREVIOUSLY HAD THREE BACK SURGERIES, SO THIS IS NOTHING NEW TO ME!

WELL, FOR THE NEW REPORT..OUR MEMBER, JANICE, LEFT US IN MARCH.  SHE PURSUES OTHER MINISTRY INTERESTS, AND AFTER A LOT OF PRAYER, SHE IS NOW BACK SINGING WITH US.  WE UNDERSTAND THAT SHE IS A VERY BUSY WOMAN FOR THE LORD, AND WE ARE PRAYING THAT IT WILL ALL WORK OUT.  WE HAVE ALSO HAD ANOTHER MEMBER JOIN US......MY YOUNGEST DAUGHTER, MANDI, CAME TO BE WITH US.  WE ARE NOT SURE IF THIS IS A PERMANENT THING, OR JUST TEMPORARY, BUT WE ARE LETTING THE LORD LEAD ON THIS ONE.  BUT FOR RIGHT NOW, SHE IS THE FOURTH MEMBER, MAKING US A REGULAR QUARTET AGAIN!

WE ARE GEARING UP FOR NQC!  WE ARE SCHEDULED FOR THREE SHOWCASES.  WE ARE JUST SO EXCITED TO GET TO BE A PART OF THIS FANTASTIC EVENT.  WE ARE MORE ANXIOUS TO BE THERE AS SPECTATORS THAN PARTICIPANTS, I THINK!  I AM STILL VERY "STAR-STRUCK".  I LOVE MEETING ALL OF THE MOST FAMOUS NAMES IN GOSPEL MUSIC!  WOW!

AND SPEAKING OF FAMOUS NAMES, WE HAD THE WONDERFUL HONOR OF RECENTLY OPENING FOR THE DOVE BROTHERS QUARTET!  WHOOOHOOOO!  TALK ABOUT A GROUP THAT WILL GET YOUR FEET TAPPIN', YOUR HANDS A-CLAPPIN' AND YOUR SOUL TO FEELIN GOOD!  THEY ARE AWSOME!  AND WE WERE SO VERY VERY HONORED TO BE A PART OF THEIR MINISTRY ON THIS NIGHT.  GO TO OUR PICTURE PAGE ON THE WEBSITE, AND SEE THE PHOTO!

WELL, OUR PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU ALL, AND OUR BLESSINGS GO WITH YOU.  TAKE CARE, AND COME SEE US WHEN YOU CAN!

FEBRUARY 2006 NEWS

Well, I am sure that everyone has enjoyed the first month of the new year!  It gets everyone to thinking about that wonderful day...tax day!  And then right behind that came the groundhog, Phil, and of course he saw his shadow, which is 6 more weeks of winter.  Well, here in Oklahoma, we took that to heart, and had a snow and ice covering this last week.  This week looks better.  We are so dry here, though, that we will take percipitation in any form it comes!

Boundless Grace has been busy these last two months!  First off, Jackie, our new member, decided that she wasn't going to do this.  It is hard to dedicate to, so we wish Jackie lots of blessing with whatever she pursues.  We did welcome one new addition, however.  We finally have a sound person.  And in keeping with our tradition, yes, it is another woman!  We would all like to take this time to welcome Claudia Keir to the ministry team.  She will be running our sound at our concerts, and helping us in the booth as well.  Stop by and say hello at our next concert!

Well, March is fast approaching, and we are preparing for our Chattanooga, TN trip to FanFair!  It is so exciting...this will be our first.  We are to sing on Tuesday evening concert, on the main stage in the Convention Center.  The FanFair runs all week, so if you get a chance, please don't hesitate to come..........there is wonderful entertainment lined up for all week!  For more info on it, go to www.sgmfanfair.com

We have several concerts coming up.  Be sure to check out our schedule page!

Until next time!
God Bless,
Bobbi

january 2006 news

Well, it is finally here!  2006!  Is it just me, or does time seem to be going faster?  And now we are well under way for this year.

Boundless Grace Quartet (yes, name is bigger!) is planning on a super year!  We have many plans in the works, not only as a group, but also individuals.  Our group is excited to receive notice that we will, indeed, be showcasing at the National Quartet Convention in Louisville, KY, in September.  More will be announced on that at a later date.  We are getting our scheduling done, and it looks like it may be a busy year!  We will kick off on January 29, at Jay, OK.  This will be Jackie's first church venue with us, and I know she is just a little nervous.  But we know she will be great.

I will be posting the schedule within the next few days, and then keep it updated.  If you don't see anything close to you right now, come back and check again!

Birthdays this month.........Jan 8-Bobbi
                                               Jan 29-Janice

Hope to see you all at a concert soon!

november newsletter

Hello, everyone!  Well, here we are in another holiday season.  I just can't believe this year has gone so fast!  Has everyone got their Christmas shopping done?  I have ALMOST completed mine.  Now comes the wrapping!  That is usually what I least enjoy!  Thank goodness they came out with Christmas sacks!  Yes!  Just drop it in and it's done!  Now, that is my kind of wrapping!  It is right up there on my list with the old plastic wal-mart sack!!!!  (To those of you who have received a gift from me wrapped in one of these, you will relate!)

For our latest news:  Boundless Grace has now reached one of our goals!  We are now a southern gospel quartet!  Yes!  A WOMEN'S quartet!  Wow!  We want everyone to welcome our newest member, Jackie Hawes, from Grove, OK.  Jackie grew up with a preacher dad, and sang in church with her sisters.  She has wonderful harmony, and we are so thankful that God answered our prayers!  We will be anxious to start out 2006 with Jackie, and the new Boundless Grace!

We also have a new website!  I did this one myself, and it did take a little more time than wrapping (bagging) a gift! I had never tried something like this, and I will still be adding to it as I go along.  I want to add a lot of photos to the photo album pages, and also will be setting up some good southern gospel music links.  However, if you go into it right now, you will see that our schedule needs updating........(I would make me a note, except my pens won't write on the plastic walmart bag.......what ever happened to brown paper bags?  Now there was something with many uses!!!!)  Right now, I am working on the scheduling for 2006.  I will post it soon.  It looks as if this year will be taking us a little farther that we have traveled in the past!  We are finalizing plans for a Texas tour, and one for Iowa, and into Ohio, as well as TN and KY.........Wow.....a busy year is ahead!  Thanks be to God for opening these doors!  We know we are being obedient when He takes us forward to spread His word.   Oh, by the way, our web address is http://boundlessgracegospel.tripod.com

We recently completed our second CD...it is being pressed now.  We recorded it at Front Room Studios in Shell Knob, MO.  John Hile (of the Revelators) was our engineer.  Anyone needing work done, contact John, and he can set you up.  He has a wonderful studio!  Our new CD is titled "He Leads Us" and it is more of the traditional type southern gospel that we love!  Plans are now being made for our third project, which will be hymnal classics..........be looking for the announcement of it in a couple of months.  We are excited, because it will be our first as a quartet!  We have had many requests to do a classic recording, so we are getting it ready!

Well, we made the news!  To us this was so exciting to see!  Wow!  In order to see the press announcement about our newest member, go to http://www.sogospellovers.com   and also check out:  http://www.sgmusicforum.com/news.htm

Well, that is about it for this month!  Here is hoping that everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!  We have so very much to give thanks for, let us not take any of it for granted!  The Lord has blessed us all with families and friends!   Enjoy them!

In His Care,
Bobbi

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!                                                                                                               from
